The Junction Saxophone Quartet is a Pennsylvania-based chamber ensemble comprised of Todd Goranson (Messiah College), Amanda Heim (Gettysburg College), Holly Hubbs (Ursinus College), and Curtis Johnson (West Liberty University). All active solo and chamber musicians and college-level instructors, the members of Junction collaborate for performances of new repertoire and standard works for saxophone quartet.
Formed in 2013 by Goranson, Heim, Hubbs and Sam Lorber, the quartet has performed at the 2015 US Navy Band Saxophone Symposium, the 2014 NASA Biennial Symposium, as well as guest recitals at colleges in Pennsylvania. Other recent performances include the Philip Glass “Concerto for Saxophone Quartet and Orchestra” with the Messiah College Symphony Orchestra in April 2015.
